Scientist-turned-entrepreneur Dr Moneeb Awan is an unconventional, charismatic businessman and a high-profile figure in the North West business community.
After a successful career in medicine he opted to return to the UK, aged 35, and start all over again in IT. Following two years as a computer programmer, Dr Moneeb Awan teamed up with colleagues Colin Yates and Graham Stanley to launch eSAY Ltd in 2001. Six years on, the company have a £2 million-plus turnover and five divisions including bespoke IT solutions and business consultancy services and eSAY Health.
His drive and ambition – together with an eye for future trends and opportunities – mean eSAY is unlikely to stay still for long.
He is a non-executive director of Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and economic development agency Manchester Enterprises, as well as President of the Salford Chamber Local Council. He is also Chair of the Institute of Directors’ NW Young Directors’ Forum
