John is a serial entrepreneur. He built his previous company JCP, from start-up to become the UK’s leading internet transaction security company in less than three years. JCP was acquired by Sun Microsystems in 2000 at which point John became Global Director, Financial Services Software.

John then left Sun and after a year’s gardening leave, launched beatthatQuote.com in 2005 after extensive research into the price comparison marketplace. beatthatQuote.com is currently one of the UK’s fastest growing privately held companies which is on target to generate revenues of £22m in its third year of trading. In 2006 it was named Growing Business Young Company of the Year award as well as being the NatWest Startups Business of the Year and Online Business of the Year winner.
