After graduating with a Law degree in 1997, Warren’s first taste of employment was with iconic record label Factory Records, the company responsible for launching the careers of Happy Mondays, Joy Division and New Order. The Factory role eventually led him, as a twenty-four-year-old, to take over the reigns as its sister company, In the City, Europe’s largest city-based music festival. After two years at the helm of ITC, a sabbatical in New York confirmed Warren’s next career step – four23, founding the company in 2004.
four23 is a multi disciplinary creative studio that deliver marketing, communication and branding projects for clients in Fashion, Arts and Culture and Architecture They have boutique studios in Piccadilly, Manchester and Islington, London and clients include Adidas Originals, Samsung, Virgin, bfi, Channel 4 and Gehl Architects to name but six. four23 also owns a licensed beatnic-style coffeehouse in Manchester, situated below their studio, called ‘An Outlet’.
Outside of four23, Warren is an active board member of the DCMS initiative, Creative Partnerships, part of the Union Renaissance Design Advisory Panel in his home town of Barnsley and Marketing graduate of the Kelloggs Business School in Chicago.
