Sarah McVittie, Chief Executive Officer, Texperts In June 2003 having previously spent time as Financial Analyst at UBS Warburg in London, and having identified a potential market for a mobile, text based, information service, Sarah was the motivating force behind the formation of Texperts (previously known as 82ASK) where she is now acting as CEO. In a short time and with little resources Sarah has taken Texperts from a mere idea to becoming a recognised pioneer in the creation of a market segment with substantial potential within the mobile industry. Over the last 4 years, the company concluded an initial commercial trial, secured equity finance in the form of Angel investment valuing the company at over £7m, entered into agreements to operate its service across all UK mobile networks and launched a commercial service.

Today the Texperts service allows anyone with a mobile phone to get the answer to any question by simply texting the question to 66000. Texperts then use a combination of innovative technology (developed in-house) and human resources to research the answer and text it back to the user’s mobile phone. The Texperts service already attracts hundreds of thousands of users, with the number of questions growing by an average of 20% month-on-month.
