| Brian Jobling started Eutechnyx at the age of 18, over 21 years ago. As Managing Director, he has signed deals worth in excess of $25 Million in the last 6 months, within an industry notorious for having the toughest of tough business models.
As even more powerful games consoles emerged during the 1990’s, the Eutechnyx story really began to take shape and managed to obtain both registered developer and publisher status for Sony PlayStation in 1996.
The company, which employs over 150 graduates at its offices in Gateshead, Hong Kong, Pittsburgh & Chengdu, is a Sunday Times Tech Track 100 and was awarded the Deloitte and Touche Fast 50 status, for being one of the fastest growing technology companies in the world . As well as holding the UK record for achieving Investor in People status, Eutechnyx has won the IiP Outstanding Practice award for the North East. Their now infamous product, Big Mutha Truckers, won a Royal Television Society award and was also BAFTA nominated.
Brian himself was awarded the Ernst & Young ‘Young Entrepreneur of the Year’ award for the Northern Region and is primarily responsible for the overall strategic direction of the company with particular interest in programming, technology and finance.
Eutechnyx’ products include chart blockbusters The Fast and the Furious, MTV’s Pimp My Ride, Cartoon Network Racing, Formula 1 and 007 Racing.
Their latest game, the eagerly awaited Ferrari Challenge on PlayStation 3, is currently enjoying much critical acclaim, with the leading game publication IGN describing it as “Porno for Petrol Heads”
